Three of family booked for dowry death

Three members of a family including the husband of a 23-year-old woman have booked in a case of dowry death here after they allegedly tortured and drove her to end her life, police said today.
PSI S P Bhoye of Padgha police station under Bhiwandi taluka told PTI that the incident took place yesterday at Chimbipada of Padgha where the woman hanged herself from the ceiling after being allegedly harassed for dowry by her husband and in-laws.
The victim has been identified as Yojana Ramdas Gite.
Police have booked Ramdas Shivram Gite, Sitabai Shivram Gite and Madhura Shivram Gite under sections 304-B and 498 of the IPC.

However, no arrests have been made so far.
