Three persons robbed in east Delhi in separate incidents

Three persons were robbed by groups of armed men in separate cases reported this weekend in east Delhi areas, police said today.
All three incidents were captured in CCTV cameras but the police are yet to make any arrest.
In the first incident reported in New Ashok Nagar, five armed men barged inside a wholesale shop and robbed the owner of Rs 2 lakh cash at gunpoint on Saturday. They also opened fire but the victim managed to dodge the bullet, a police official said.
In the second incident which took place at Kondli village, two armed men dragged a businessman out from his shop while three others were waiting outside. They pinned him down in a corner and one of them then went for the locker inside his shop.
The businessman then got up and managed to throw a chair at him, following which the robber fired but the bullet missed the businessman by a few inches as he ducked at the right time. However, they managed to flee with his day's earnings, the official said.
In the third incident, which took place in Gandhi Nagar area, two armed men fled with cash from a shop but they did not open fire. In this case, the police has zeroed in on a few local criminals and they are being questioned, the official added.
