Dwipraj Sarkar, 16-year-old studying at Vidyapith School of Belonia sub-division in South Tripura district and two of his cousins who are also students, made a phone call to the Customer Care of IndiGo airlines at Gurgaon and identified themselves as Taliban terrorist and threatened to shoot down a flight of the airlines on Saturday, the sources said.
The Gurgaon police informed the Tripura police about the threat call made from Tripura.
With the help of a telecom company Tripura police traced the phone from which the call was made by the boys and arrested them yesterday .
The three boys have been booked under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act as they are all minors.
The boys told the police that they made the phone call as a joke.
