McDonald expects at least six teams vying for the fourth spot in the play offs this year.

"It is a close competition this year. Anyone can beat anyone at any stage. Delhi Daredevils stand out but the rest of the teams are fighting for the three spots," he said ahead of RCB's match against Deccan Chargers at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here tomorrow.

McDonald said RCB, presently lying in the sixth position with nine points, need to win at least four out of their last six games to stand in with a chance of entering the knockout stage of the event.

"Obviously tomorrow is a big game. Deccan is a good opposition and have struck form of late. They may take few teams down and we have to look out for that," he said.

Inspite of boasting of good international players like Cameron White, J P Duminy, Dale Steyn and Amit Mishra, Deccan got off to a horrible start in the tournament, McDonald said.

"They have found themselves losing games which they were poised to win," he added.

McDonald was not sure about Tillakratne Dilshan's chances of playing tomorrow.

"Team selection is left to the team management. I am not sure whether Dilshan or I will play tomorrow. However, if the pitch has some pace and swing in it, the team may go for me. If the wicket is dry then we may go for Dilshan who can bowl a bit of off spin," he added.
