Three TN ministers visit hospital

Three Tamil Nadu ministers today visited the Government Hospital here following reports that seven persons succumbed to suspected dengue fever or some other mysterious viral fever, officials said.
Health Minister Vijayabaskar, Revenue Minister R.P.Udhayakumar and Special Projects Implementation Minister K.T.Rajendra Balaji were accompanied by the Health Department Director Palanisamy and District Collector Rajaraman.
They met patients including children and their parents to enquire about the treatment given to them.
Vijayabaskar said government was committed to controlling dengue fever and deaths due to any fever. During 2012,13000 people had been affected by dengue but now the number has come down to 2400 in the state.
He said the Joint Director of Public Health was camping here. One doctor has been appointed for each ward along with 10 Public health department workers to provide intensive care for those suffering from intense fever, he added.
