Three women flower vendors killed in mishap

: Three women were killed and eight others injured when a cargo mini-van in which they were travelling, collided with a stationary concrete mixer truck here today, police said.
The victims were flower vendors, they added.
The mishap occurred at Anakaputhur near here on the Chennai (Tambaram-Maduravoyal) Bypass when the mini-van rammed the truck after the driver lost control, police said.
Eight others including a man were injured and admitted to a government hospital.
