Deputy Superintendent of Police (Gudur Sub-Divison) B Srinivas told PTI that the incident occurred at around 11.30 am after a worker entered the boiler to clean it after a trial run was conducted at the plant a week ago.
"One worker removed the cap of the boiler and entered it but it seems he inhaled some poisonous due to which he fell into the boiler. Two other workers who tried to rescue him also ended up inhaling the gas after which all three of them died on the spot," the police official said.
