Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Kamini Lau convicted and sentenced the three accused, observing that they are habitual offenders and did not hesitate in taking the victim's life.
"The crime chart of the convicts show how from petty offenders they have graduated to professional criminals who would not hesitate to take the life of another," the judge said.
The judge, however, took a lenient view towards fourth convict Narbahadur observing that he was not involved in any other criminal case.
Narbahadur was handed two years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 2,000 for the offence of theft and receiving stolen property.
The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 62,000 each on Shakurpur residents Pramod, Mini and Manoj stipulating that, if recovered, the amount be given to the family of 30-year-old victim as compensation.
According to the prosecution, all the four accused were professional robbers and in March 2010, they, after stealing a car, went to rob a shop at a DDA market in Pitampura where one of them was previously employed.
