The victim had alleged that Circle Inspector of Peramangalam police station in Thrissur district M V Manikantan had asked her "indecent questions" about the crime.
The National Federation for Indian Women has written to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan seeking timely justice for the victim.
"The crime of rape is itself a heinous one, but in this case even more horrifying is the response of the policemen at the police station. The CI is reported to have asked her which of the four men gave her the most pleasure.
The Kerala government today put under suspension the police officer.
The woman had alleged that she was raped by four men including CPI(M) councillor Jayanthan two years ago in Vadakkancherry.
