In the state capital of Lucknow and neighbouring areas, strong winds coupled with mild showers in the wee hours caused further damage to the crops, MeT department said.
The showers also damaged the mango flowering in the mango belt around Lucknow.
Thunderstorms uprooted trees and electric poles hitting power and communication lines in some areas.
Amroha recorded highest 3 cm rainfall followed by Jalesar - 2 cm, and Anoopshahar, Bhaghpat, Agra, Aligarh, Sikohabad, Meerut, Budhana - 1 cm each.
MeT department said rain and thundershowers would occur at isolated places over eastern UP and at a few western districts tomorrow.
