ThyssenKrupp ties up with Microsoft for smart elevators

German components manufacturer ThyssenKrupp today said it has partnered with software giant Microsoft to launch a predictive and pre-emptive service that provides remote monitoring capabilities for elevators.
ThyssenKrupp Elevator's MAX utilises Microsoft Azure Internet of Things (IoT) to make it possible for an elevator to tell service technicians its real needs including real-time identification of repairs, component replacements and proactive system maintenance, it said in a release.

Volvo to run bus driving school in Himachal
*Volvo Buses India Pvt Ltd shall open a school to train bus drivers in Himachal Pradesh.
The school will not only produce Volvo drivers for Himachal government-run public transport but also induct the trained bus drivers in Volvo Buses India.
"The Volvo drivers training school shall be set up in Kangra district of the state and shall start functioning within six months," Transport minister of Himachal G S Bali said.
