Unlike other parts of North-East, none of the insurgent groups in the state have called for a boycott but round-the-clock vigil is being maintained by the state police in coordination with central security forces to thwart any untoward incident.

Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries have been assigned to unfurl tri-colour in all the district and sub-divisional headquarters for celebrations of Republic Day.

However, the state level function will be held at Nagaland Secretariat Plaza in Kohima tomorrow morning, wherein Governor Nikhil Kumar will address the gathering, which will also attended by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Leader of the Opposition Tokheho Yepthomi.

This year, a total of 13 parade contingents, including police, security forces, NCC and school students will participate in the Republic Day march past.
