"The tigress was around 2-3 years old and a part its body was found almost decomposed. The feline died some two days back," said Seoni Circle Chief Forest Conservator Sanjay Shukla.
There were no injury marks on its body. However, the cause of its death will be known only after viscera test report is out, the officer said when asked if the tigress died of poisoning.
The viscera of the feline has been sent to forensic laboratory after postmortem examination was conducted as per the guidelines of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).
