The 42-year-old singer is in a legal spat with promoter Showtime for cancelling a number of gigs in Australia and New Zealand in 3008, reported Female First.
The company claims it paid Timbaland USD 500,000 to perform a series of gigs in July 2008 but just weeks before he was due on stage, the star postponed the shows by one month until August, according to the lawsuit.
The company was then reportedly informed that the producer already had gigs lined up in Finland on the same dates he had rescheduled the shows in Australia.
The promoter refused to pay out the lump sum and is now suing to get back the original USD 500,000 it had paid him at the beginning, as well as seeking damages.
