Time bound project implementation to boost Arunachal tourism

Efficient and time bound implementation of projects undertaken by Tourism department in Arunachal Pradesh were a must to boost tourism in the state, state Tourism Minister Pema Khandu has said.
Lauding the performance of the tourism department, Khandu stressed the need for the highest degree of commitment and professional excellence on the part of departmental officials.
He also emphasized the need for participation of all stake holders in the tourism sector, especially while framing crucial policy decisions by the department, official sources said.
Khandu, who also holds the portfolios of Town Planning, Housing, UD and Art & Culture, was addressing senior officials here yesterday to assess the progress of all the projects being carried out by Tourism department.
Secretary Tourism Joram Beda deliberated on the need for Tourism Trade Act and Rules, creation of District Tourism Promotion Council and Tourism 'Vision 2020', the sources said.
