Vohra was interacting with Chief Engineer Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Brigadier A K Das who called on him at Raj Bhavan here, an official spokesman said.
In response to a query, the Governor was informed that the black topping of the Srinagar-Sonamarg road would be completed before the end of June.
Brig Das briefed the Governor about the latest status of the different road projects being executed under the Project Beacon.
Lauding the 'good work' being done by the BRO in developing and maintaining the road network in the difficult and hilly terrain of Jammu and Kashmir, which provides connectivity to the people living in the remote areas, the Governor emphasised the crucial importance of the various construction works being completed strictly within the envisaged time schedules and maintained in a satisfactory status.
