TimesPro, an educational subsidiary of the Times of India group, today launched its learning centres here and in Chennai.
The Centres will offer courses in Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics and Post Graduate Diploma in Finance and Accounts, along with the popular and industry vetted two year MBA course, TimesPro Business Head, Rajesh Kachroo, told reporters here.
Since there was dearth of institutes specialising in business, finance and banking training and analytics, leaving students with no option but to travel to neighbouring states for studies, these centres will help mobilise the latent talent pool within the State, Kachroo pointed out.
Claiming that students graduating from TimePro are offered lucrative salary packages going up to Rs eight lakh per annum, with an average of Rs 3.5 lakh, he said that for placement opportunities, it has tied up with corporates like HDFC Bank, Kotaka Mahinda Bank, Yes Bank, Bajaj Capital, IndusInd Bank and Edelwess in Tamil Nadu.
The institute, since its inception 18 months ago, has trained over 3,000 students, of whom 90 per cent had been placed in various positions, he said.
Chennai and Coimbatore centres are its 20th and 21st centres and there were plans to open more centres in important cities and towns, he said.
Being in vocational training, TimesPro would come out with more courses, which were needed by the industry, including engineering and manufacturing, Kachroo said.
Bharathiar University Vice Chancellor, Prof James Pitchai inaugurated the Centres.
