Tin drops on reduced demand

Tin prices dropped further at the non-ferrous metal market here due to selling by stockists amid reduced demand from alloy industries.
While, select copper and zinc rose further on stockists buying amid sustained offtake from consuming industries.
On the global front, industrial metal copper slipped in early trade but remained in its recent range as caution kicked in ahead of key central bank meetings this week.
Tin fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,190 from Monday's closing level or Rs 1,195.
Copper armiture softened by a Re per kg to Rs 391.
However, copper utensil scrap rose by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 371 as against Rs 368 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and zinc inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 407, Rs 401, Rs 435 and Rs 152, respectively.
