Tin, nickel firm up on good demand

Tin and nickel prices firmed up at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid good demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, select copper, aluminium and zinc also surged following firm demand from consuming industries.
However, copper utensils and brass edged down due to mild demand from industrial users.
Tin and nickel gained further by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 1,590 and Rs 835 from Monday's close of Rs 1,580 and Rs 825.
Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar, aluminium ingots, aluminium utensils and zinc inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 375, Rs 357, Rs 403, Rs 142, Rs 119 and Rs 206 respectively.
However, copper utensils moved down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 333 as against Rs 336 yesterday.
Brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 274 and Rs 282, respectively.
