Tin, nickel prices recover on firm demand, copper edges higher

Tin and nickel prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on renewed demand from stockists as well as alloy industries.
Elsewhere, copper and brass utensils scrap also firmed up on good industrial buying support.
The industrial metal are trading higher at the LME on weak dollar valuations, but gains were capped on ongoing concerns over global economic outlook.
Tin spurted by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,345 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,335 and nickel rose by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 985 as against Rs 982.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap and copper wire bar all moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 484, Rs 475, Rs 441 and Rs 512, respectively.
Copper armiture and brass utensils scrap both inched up by a rupee to Rs 464 and 324.
Brass sheets cutting, however softened to Rs 332 from Rs 333 previously.
