Tin rallies on heavy demand

Tin prices rallied smartly in an otherwise fairly active non-ferrous metal market here today following sustained stockists buying amid heavy demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, copper, brass, aluminium and nickel also strengthened on good demand from industrial users.
Tin spurted by Rs 40 per kg to Rs 1,700 from Thursday's close at Rs 1,660 and nickel climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 890 as against Rs 880 yesterday.
Copper armature rose by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 398 as compared to Rs 390 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and copper sheet cuttings also went up by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 415, Rs 408, Rs 443 and Rs 390 as compared Rs 410, Rs 403, Rs 438 and Rs 385, respectively.
Copper utensils scrap and brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 373 and Rs 303 from Rs 370 and Rs 300, respectively.
Brass sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 312 as against Rs 310 and aluminium utensils inched by a Re per kg to Rs 118.
