Tirhut Commissioner's court sets example, disposes 2200 cases

The court of Tirhut Commissioner has set an example by disposing 2200 cases, some of which were pending for past 30 years, in one-and-a-half year time.
Tirhut Commissioner Atul Prasad disposed pending cases pertaining to revenue, arms license and departmental matters, by increasing sitting days and holding special court.
"When I had assumed the responsibility as Commissioner of Tirhut division in October 2014, 2200 cases were pending. There is zero pending of cases in Commissioner court today," Prasad said.
Tirhut division comprises of six districts--Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi and Sheohar.
The Commissioner court has put the order of all the 2200 cases on its website, he said.
Special protection measures have been taken for records of the cases by uploading it after scan, Prasad said.
"Back up has been created at three places so that in case of failure of one back up the records could be seen on another one," he added.
