The Nizamabad MP had publicly declared her support to the creation of Vidarbha recently citing its cultural and geographical differences with the rest of Maharashtra.
Kavitha had aptly described the geographical and cultural condition of Vidarbha which is a fit case for creating a separate state, said Tirpude who is one of the most vocal supporters of separate Vidarbha and floated a new political party called Vidarbha Maza.
The MP, who is also the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, had also made references to the recommendations made by Fazal Ali Committee in 1956 for creation of separate Telangana and Vidarbha.
