Senior BJP MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari, who has been served a show cause notice by the party for alleged indiscipline, today opposed the state government's move to publish Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's picture on lease deeds or pattas.
Tiwari in a statement claimed that urban development and housing department has issued directions to Urban Improvement Trusts (UITs) and other authorities concerned with a format having chief minister's photo which is against the Supreme Court directions.
He said that the pattas (record of land ownership) should have the picture of the patta owner only and chief minister's photo amounts to contempt of the court.
The said pattas would be distributed in urban camps organised by the state government.
