Roy, who was once a confidante of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, has accused her of running a one-man show and propagating dynastic politics.
He was suspended for six years by the TMC for anti-party activities. He had also said that he had never considered the BJP a communal party.
The entire top leadership of TMC, including Banerjee, its chairperson, all its MPs, MLAs, chairmen of municipalities and zilla parishads would be present at the meeting, party leaders said.
"In the last core committee meeting in September it was decided that the next meeting will be held in October. But now with the present developments, the meeting is of immense significance as the party will give a message in this present situation," a senior TMC leader said.
