Sunderpal announced decision to quit from his post as well as resign from the party, stating that northern region in-charge K D Singh was "not running the party in an effective manner".
"I talked to you on various occasions regarding various issues which our party faces, but you are not prepared to listen," Sunderpal said in a letter to K D Singh.
