"It (the accident) is an extremely sad news. But, there is an issue of accountability and responsibility. Hence, we have demanded setting up of VC-level committee by universities that will monitor and clear tours conducted by colleges and universities," Trinamool Chattra Parishad (TMCP) President Shankudeb Panda said today.
TMCP will organise condolence meetings across colleges of the state and step up political pressure against the Centre for the tragedy was a failure of the central government administration.
