The Trinammool Congress today extended its support towards the 'One Rank One Pension' (OROP) demand raised by ex-servicemen and urged the BJP-led central government to fulfill its commitment in this regard.
"When you make a commitment, you must keep your word and honour it," the TMC leadership said in a statement on the issue of 'One Rank One Pension.'
Earlier in the day, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said in New Delhi that there are "technical difficulties" in implementing OROP but insisted that government will fulfil the "assurance" made to the ex-servicemen in this regard.
