This is how a Trinamool Congress member took a dig at Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha on the government's move to hike FDI in the insurance sector.
Saugata Roy, initiating the debate on Insurance Laws (Amendment) Bill, said while Jayant is piloting the bill for consideration and passage, it was his father and BJP veteran Yashwant Sinha who had opposed hike in FDI in his Parliamentary Standing Committee report when the UPA had initially brought the same bill in 2011.
Roy said it is a case of "senior generation's prescription being rejected by the juniors."
The senior TMC member said while the NDA government will be able to get the bill passed in Lok Sabha, it would not be able to clear the Rajya Sabha hurdle.

"Whomsoever you have invited (to bring in FDI), will go back empty handed," he said in an apparent reference to companies who are eying the Indian insurance market.
Shashi Tharoor (Cong) said there was a constitutional anomaly as it violated Article 107 of the Constitution as a similar bill was pending in Rajya Sabha.
He said government may claim that the nomenclature is different but the contents are the same as the one pending in the Upper House was introduced in 2014 and this one has been introduced this year.
