"After the (May) 19th, TMC would not be found. Their shop will be closed. You will have to croon 'Tomar Dekha nai re. Tomar dekha nai' (your presence is no more evident)," Chowdhury said, recalling lines from a popular Bengali song while addressing an election rally at Coochbehar, where elections will be held on May 5.

He said a 'Pariborton' (change) is needed for West Bengal as in the last five years "nothing happened except making of false claims, tall talks on cinema and stage plays."
In an apparent reference to Saradha scam, Chowdhury alleged, "She (Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee) had claimed that she had gone to North Bengal several times. Why wouldn't she? She had to attend the meeting with the Saradha (boss)."
Attacking Banerjee, Chowdhury alleged that the Chief Minister failed to check women and child trafficking and put West Bengal "at the top of the list" in this regard.
"When a child in Bengal will be born, she will bear a debt burden of Rs 45,000 as the total debt burden in the state has swelled to Rs 3,00,000 crore," he claimed.
On Banerjee giving alleged sops to minorities, Chowdhury said she will not be able to make Muslims in Bengal happy just by holding her public shows.
Chowdhury termed this move as a "ploy by her to fool the minorities and gain their support".
