Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami today lauded the police for its handling of the Kodanad estate murder and robbery case and for 'swiftly' arresting all the accused.
"Those who attempted to indulge in robbery at Kodanad were swiftly arrested by police and it was due to the talent of police officers," he said.
Replying to DMK member J Anbazhagan, who wanted to know the status of the probe on the Kodanad estate case, he said all the eleven accused have been arrested and probe was on.
The estate guard Om Bahadur was murdered and another guard Krishna Bahadur Thapa assaulted and injured on April 23, when a group of men barged into the Kodanad estate which was used by late J Jayalalithaa for her retreats.
The Kodanad Estate figures in a disproportionate assets case involving jailed AIADMK general secretary V K Sasikala and Jayalalithaa, among others.
Later, it emerged during the probe that Jayalalithaa's former driver C Kanagaraj and K V Sayan had allegedly plotted the crime.

The chief minister said while Kanagaraj died in a road accident on April 28, Sayan was arrested on June 6 after he recovered from injuries suffered in a mishap on April 29 in which his wife and five-year-old daughter had died.
"The police department carried out the appropriate investigation and arrested all the accused," he added.
Giving a detailed account of the case, Palaniswami said it emerged from the probe that on April 23, at 10.30 pm, seven men, including Kanagaraj, barged into the Kodanad Estate after assaulting the two guards, one of whom had died.
He said they had smashed the window panes of the bungalow and searched three rooms, but as they did not get "expensive articles and money," they decamped with ornamental goodies and watches.
Earlier, Kanagaraj had contacted his friend Sayan with his conspiracy, and the latter got in touch with his friends Santosh Sami and Manoj Sami, through whom others were hired.
All the seven men reached Udhagamandalam on April 22 and stayed at a lodge. The next day, Kanagaraj, Sayan, Santosh Sami and Manoj Sami joined them, arriving from Coimbatore in a car, he added.
