TN govt plan to computerise 14 RTOs in state

Fourteen Regional Transport Office (RTO) Driving Centres in the state will be computerised at a cost of Rs 10 crore, the Tamil Nadu government today said.
The move will enable the RTOs record fine details during driving tests, a state government release here said.
Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has approved Rs 10 crore for this exercises and in the first phase 14 RTOs, including those at Tiruvannamalai, Namakkal, Erode, Madurai and Coimbatore will be covered.
A total of 42 RTOs will be provided with the computerised Driving Centres, it added.
