The Tamil Nadu government's start-up policy, aimed at making the support system much easier, would be unveiled in 2-3 months, a top official said today.

"The government is in the process of finalising the policy, which will make the support system for start-ups much easier," Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Principal Secretary Dharmendra Pratap Yadav told reporters here.

Noting that the state had been a fore-runner, encouraging innovation and the start-up ecosystem, he said it planned to support 400 innovation hubs every year and strengthen the industrial environment.

"There are lots of incubation activities across institutions in the state," he said.

He was speaking on the sidelines of the Smart India Hackathon 2018-Hardware edition, which concluded here today.
