Meanwhile, police arrested a man hailing from Bangalore for making an anonymous call yesterday that a bomb would explode in the central station, which turned out to be a hoax after a thorough search.
S Sivakumar, a school drop-out, had made the hoax call yesterday morning and was arrested from Villupuram, about 160 km from here, police said.
He was produced before a city court which remanded him to judicial custody, they said.
According to police, he disclosed he had made the call to create panic in the minds of commuters and wanted to see that it was covered by the media.
Police said they also found that he had cheated some people of money after falsely promising help in locating missing persons.
