They were arrested from a bakery in Karumathampatti, about 20km from here, and produced before a Mahila Court yesterday, which had remanded them to judicial custody till June 3.
Earlier in the day, 'Q' Branch of the police had filed a petition before the Principal District and Sessions court, seeking 15 days custody.
After hearing arguments, Mahila Court Judge M P Subramanian, in charge the Sessions court, allowed 'Q' branch police 10 days custody and ordered them to produce the Maoists on May 15.
Police were also asked to allow a lawyer to meet all the accused daily for 10 to 15 minutes to ensure their safety.

Meanwhile, Subramanian allowed two daughters of the Maoist couple, who were refused permission earlier by jail authorities to meet their parents, to meet them in a court room for 10 minutes.
Coming out after meeting her parents, Aami, the elder daughter, said her father had told her that "both Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu police had tried to stage a fake accident involving the police van and harm them."
Earlier, she and her sister, along with their paternal uncle, had tried to meet their parents but were denied permission despite being inside for nearly four hours, Aami said.
Meanwhile, Kerala police also submitted a petition to the court today, seeking custody of the five Maoists.
