TNAU congratulates alumna, part of Nobel Prize winning team

The staff and students of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University here have congratulated an alumna of the university for being a member of an organisation which won the Nobel Peace Prize-2013.
In a release today, Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr K Ramasamy said they took pride for having its alumna as one among the team.
Sania Velikeloth had completed her Masters Programme in Agricultural Biotechnology from TNAU, in 1991, he said.
She was working for the "Organisation for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Verification Division" in Netherlands, with about 500 members from 190 countries and the award was conferred in recognition of its services for the past 16 years.
Sania worked for two years in the Molecular Biology Lab at National University of Singapore and later moved to Netherlands, Ramasamy said.
