TNCA, Karnataka, Andhra in quarterfinals

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, its President XI side, defending champions Karnataka and Andhra have qualified for the quarterfinals of the All India Buchi Babu Cricket tournament at the end of the its second round matches here today.
The highlight of the day was TNCA XI opening batsman, K Bharath Shankar achieving his second century of the tournament in as many matches, against Tripura. Bharath Shankar made an unbeaten 133 off 262 balls with the help of 17 fours and a six.

Group A: Andhra 303 all out in 81.1 overs (K S Bharat 45, D B Prashanth 79, K Bharat Reddy 74, A G Pradeep 53, Sourav Mondal 5/51, Amir Goni 3/86, bt Bengal 227 all out in 62 overs (Anustup Majumdar 53, Abhimanyu Easwaran 43, Arnab Nandi 34, G V S Prasad 6/66, B Sudhakar 2/52.
