Toddler killed by leopard in Uttarakhand

A two-and-a-half year old boy was killed by a leopard after being dragged from his home by the animal in Motichoor area here, forest officials said.
Aahil was killed after the leopard attacked him when his mother was feeding him yesterday at their home, they said.
When the family members saw that the boy was being attacked by the animal, they raised an alarm in the village and chased it.
The half-eaten body was later recovered by a group of villagers.
Enraged by the incident, the villagers blocked the Badrinath national highway demanding that the leopard be declared a 'man-eater'. The highway was cleared only after an assurance from the forest department to the villagers.
