Toddler ran over by sister's school van

A two-year old boy died as he was ran over by a school van after his sister boarded the vehicle in the city today.
Police said the boy had come to see off his sister in front of their house in Thammampatty area.
After the girl boarded the van, the boy walked across the road in front of the van and the driver without noticing this.
The boy was crushed to death on the spot, police said adding the 55-year old driver had been arrested.
