The increased toll rates came into effect from last night, with a hike of Rs 2 on one-way journey and a hike of about Rs 6 on two-way trip, they said.
The decision prompted protests from INLD party who demanded a rollback of the hike.
Led by INLD leader Vikas Chaudhary, the protesters gathered at the toll gate and raised slogan against the state government, the Centre as well as the associated company.
