The 49-year-old actor was spotted on the sets of his upcoming sci-fi flick "Oblivion" outside of Reykjavik on July 1, reported Us magazine.
"Tom just wants to work hard and finish everything on time," a source said.
The "Rock of Ages" star was spotted getting to and from the set in a helicopter.
Holmes stunned fans after filing papers in New York on June 29 to end her five-year marriage to Cruise.
The actress has moved into an NYC apartment of her own, which she rented prior to divorce filing, with their six-year-old daughter, Suri.
