The movie was based on the novel 'One Shot' (2005) by British author Lee Child, who has used the titular character in a series of books, reported Deadline.
Lee's 'Never Go Back' would apparently hit the big screen as Paramount and Skydance Productions are re-teaming for a sequel.
The novel was published in September this year, and is the 18th addition in the series.
The films companies are looking for a writer to pen the script as Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and directed the first adaptation, is busy with 'Mission Impossible 5' film.
