MusiCares announced that its fund-raising concert to benefit Emergency Financial Assistance and Addiction Recovery Programs will honor the 66-year-old rock legend for his "extraordinary creative accomplishments and significant charitable work", reported Entertainment Weekly.
Norah Jones, Elle King and Randy Newman among others will honor Petty during the gala, which will be held during the weekend of the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Other performers include stars like Foo Fighters, Don Henley, Kings of Leon, Stevie Nicks, Jackson Browne, Regina Spektor, George Strait, The Bangles, Lucinda Williams, Gary Clark Jr., Jeff Lynne, and Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen.
