Blair, who is also the Middle East Quartet envoy arrived late yesterday at the Cairo International airport, an airport official said.
During his one-day visit, Blair will meet many high profile officials, local media reported.
Blair's visit aims at discussing the latest developments in the Middle East peace process and ways to resume the Palestine-Israeli peace talks. The discussions will also tackle the situations in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen as well as ways to fight terrorist organisations, the report said.
The Middle East Quartet was established in 2002 and is involved in mediating the peace process in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Quartet are the United Nations, the United States, the European Union and Russia.
