The final of this tournament, which is being conducted under the auspices of Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra, is slated to be played on March 25, a media release said.
The other main contenders include former Asian championship bronze medallist Laxman Rawat and former two-time Asian champion Yasin Merchant, to name a few.
The tournament offers a total cash prize of Rs. two lakh. The ultimate champion will earn a purse of Rs 50,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up will receive a cash award of Rs 30,000 plus a Trophy.
From the round of 32 till the quarter-finals it will be played over best-of-9 frames.
The semi-finals will be contested over best-of-11 frames and the grand finale will be a best-of-13 frame affair.
The tournament will be played in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations of the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI), the release added.
