Top TN cops call on Madras HC CJ

Two days after a group of advocates laid siege to the official residence of Madras High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul here, top police officials of Tamil Nadu today called on him at his chambers in the court.
DGP Ashok Kumar and Greater Chennai Commissioner S George accompanied by Advocate General A L Somayji met Kaul.
There was no official word on what transpired during the more than an hour-long meeting of the police officials with the Chief Justice.
On Saturday, a group of advocates, pressing their demand over some issue, laid siege to the residence of the Chief Justice when he was away in New Delhi attending the conference of Chief Justices.
Meanwhile, Madras Bar Association today strongly condemned the incident.
Chairman of All India Association of Jurists, Antony Selvaraj has also condemned the incident and demanded strong action against the miscreants.
