"The contract amount is 2 billion yen (Rs 131 crore) for the two orders together," the company said in a press statement.
According to statement, the 7 units of 765kV transformers with a capacity of 500 MVA will be manufactured at TTDI's facility in Hyderabad, and will be delivered for installation at PGCIL's Cuddapah substation in Andhra Pradesh state.
The substation is scheduled to commence operation in November 2017.
The GIS requirement of the project will be delivered from TTDI's manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The GIS substation is scheduled to commence operation in June 2017.
TTDI Chairman and Managing Director Katsutoshi Toda said: "Consolidating our investment in India, we completed augmentation of UHV/EHV/HV Power Transformer manufacturing capacity of our facilities in Hyderabad by 50 per cent to cater to increased demand and have an established manufacturing and testing facilities for UHV/EHV/HV GIS and MV Solid Insulated Switchgears (SIS).
