Releasing the report, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said Delhi has a total 2,878 factories in organised sector which is only 1.67 per cent of the national figure.
The average annual per employee emolument in Delhi has been estimated at Rs 1,60,909 which is 11.44 per cent higher than all-India figures of Rs 1,44,386 for 2010-11, the report, brought out by the Directorate of Economic and Statistics of the city government, said.
The emoluments paid to all employees in Delhi during 2010-11 was Rs 1971.63 crore as compared to Rs 1590.46 crore in 2009-10, the report said.
The estimates have been prepared based on the data provided by the Central Statistic Office (CSO).

The working capital of all factories in Delhi has been estimated at Rs 8,216 crore during 2010-11 as against Rs 6,040 crore in 2009-10.
As per the report, in 145 factories, the average employment size is 500 or more while it is in the range of 100 to 300 employees in 913 factories. In 162 factories, the figure varied between 300 and 500.
Similarly, GVA per worker for industries involved in manufacturing of apparel has been estimated at Rs 4,10,429.
