Chinese companies will display their products and machines covering a range of sectors at twin trade shows being held here next week.
China Homelife India 2016 and China Machinex 2016 will be held from December 13 to 15 at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre. The events are being organised amid rising trade volume between India and China.
More than 1,000 of the topmost Chinese suppliers will be part of China Machinex, where they will display over 20,000 products during the three-day event, a statement said today.
China Machinex is the leading global series of China products show annually held across nine counties - Brazil, Turkey, South Africa, Poland, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Jordan, UAE and India.
The event connects more than 6,000 high-quality Chinese manufacturers with over 80,000 of the most important buyers in emerging markets. The show focuses on varied categories, including electricity and new energy, food processing machinery, plastic machinery, hardware and tools, packaging machinery and automobiles, the statement said.
China Homelife will display over 50,000 products from 750 top suppliers. It will also have a 'match-making' programme, which will assist in sourcing the right supplier and right products. Main product sectors at the show include fabric, textile & garments, home electronics, furniture, building materials, lighting, household and gift items.
The trade between India and China has grown manifold in the last few years. This can be attributed to the relative demand for imports in India and China for each other's goods. This has also led to an increase in India's trade deficit with China at USD 52.68 billion in 2015-2016 from USD 48.48 billion in the previous fiscal, the statement said.
This has encouraged Chinese companies to start looking for new opportunities to source products, services and investments to fill market gaps, it added.
