Trade unions hold protest rallies in Raj

Members of various trade unions today organised demonstrations against the "anti-workers" policies of the BJP government at the Centre and the state and demanded better wages and protection of labourer's rights.
The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) members today waved flags and banners protesting the anti-labourers policies of the BJP governments both at the Centre and in the state and demanded protection of labour rights and better wages, state President Ravindra Shukla in a statement.
BJP government in Rajasthan had drastically amended the labour laws affecting the life and wages of unorganised and organised labourers, Shukla alleged.
Demonstration were today held across the state, including Jodhpur, Ajmer and Kota districts, on CITU's nationwide protest call, he said.
Bhartiya Majdoor Sangh, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) and other organisations took part in the protest, he said.
